13 Nice Places For Coffee In Bansko
I’m from a country where brunch and coffee places are very popular (aka The Netherlands). If you meet with your friends to catch up, nobody wants the mess in their house, right? So coffee and brunch places are THE place to meet, especially with multiple people.
When I arrived in Bansko it seemed there was not anything for coffee lovers: most Bulgarians hang out around the outdoor coffee vending machines. But the last 2 years I feel the coffee culture has found its way to Bansko, because these days we have a bunch of nice places for coffee in Bansko!
Last update: info & prices in this article are from August 2025.

Nice places for coffee in Bansko
1. Black Honey
If you’re looking for a specialty coffee place, Black Honey is your place. There are only a few places to sit inside, but there are always people in line for a take away coffee here. The owners know what they are talking about when you order coffee. It’s cute that they make cute latte art as well and the options are very nice if you’re a critic about your coffee. They also have interesting options like cappuccino with blue matcha, if you’re in the mood of trying something new.
Why I love this place: if you’re looking for the best coffee in town, I think this is the place. They also have other nice products, like spicy hot chocolate and ceremonial cacao.
Address: Pirin Street 73 (central area of Bansko)

2. The French Guy Bakery
One of my absolute favourites in town is The French Guy Bakery. Christian makes the best sourdough bread! You can see and taste that he has a lot of passion for this.
A lot of people love to come here for take away, but there is the option to have a breakfast plate or sandwiches as well and sit down with a coffee. I like that they have vegetarian and even vegan options for the sandwiches as well! Sometimes they have cakes, cookies and cheese plates too, so definitely a place to check out when you’re in Bansko.
Why I love this place: I’m addicted to the the cacao bread from the French Guy Bakery, delicious with some butter or jam!
Address: Otets Paisiy Street (old town area)
Instagram: @thefrenchguybakery

3. New Coffee World
Location wise this is a very convenient place to meet with people, because it’s pretty much in the middle of town. There are a few spots to sit inside, but most people mainly sit outside or have a take away coffee. There are a lot of options for coffee and drinks – maybe even the most options in town? They sell lots of speciality coffee bags to bring home as well.
In summer they also sell icecream (the blue cheese & fig icecream is something to try if you’re adventurous) and they usually have some snacks to combine with your coffee, like cookies and croissants.
Why I love this place: this is my go-to place to meet people for a coffee when I want to sit outside in the sun. They have multiple places to sit outside. In summer this is one of the only places where I would order a nice iced americano.
Address: Gotche Delchev Street 34 (central area of Bansko)

4. Lubanitza
If you wanna combine your coffee with some nice cake you should definitely go to Lubanitza. I don’t know how they do it, but on a daily base they have so many different options that it’s always hard to just pick one cake! Anything at Lubanitza is either vegetarian or vegan. It’s possible to both sit inside and outside, so good to visit the entire year.
Why I love this place: the owner is very passionate about her products and loves to explain what she made every single day. Lots of vegan options, which is rare in Bansko. I love their vegan banitzas; not the cheapest but definitely worth the money.
Address: Pirin Street 60 (central area of Bansko)
Instagram: @lubanitza

5. Wake Up Coffee
The location is great for skiers and snowboarders; right next to the Gondola. It’s a perfect spot for me to have a coffee-to-go for the gondola trip. The coffee is good and usually they have nice snacks like cinnamon rolls, croissants and danish pastries if you’re in the mood for that. In summer it’s a nice place as well to have a smoothie.
Why I love this place: this is my go-to place for a coffee before or after snowboarding, since the location is so convenient (on the way between my home and the gondola). Also: cinnamon rolls!
Address: Stragite Street 8 (Gondola area)

6. SCHEERS
Another coffee place around the gondola is sCHEERS. It’s part of a winter rental shop, so they are open in the afternoons as well for après ski and beers. The menu is simple and short, but since I mainly drink americano that’s perfect for me (and anyone with decision stress haha). The staff is very kind and they are always very friendly to my dog when we sit here, which is a big plus for coffee loving dog owners.
Why I love this place: this is usually one of the first places in the morning where you can sit outside in the sun. After my summer cold plunges I love to warm up here with a coffee!
Address: Nayden Gerov Street 1 (Gondola area)

7. Cherry Berry
This is mainly a summer place to visit if you’re in the mood for coffee, since they don’t have a lot of space inside for sitting. But in summer this is a lovely place. Usually there are a few tables outside in the grass, but people also love to sit at the benches next to the little river. The tropical, colourful wall inside is definitely an eye catcher. They have options for vegetarians and vegans as well, like the vegan date balls, dragon fruit smoothie and the acai bowl.
Why I love this place: I believe there are no other places in Bansko where you can find acai & smoothie bowls. In summer it’s great to sit in the sun next to the little river (next to Cherry Berry).
Address: Gotche Delchev Street 20 (central area of Bansko)

8. The Snug
If you’re higher up in town The Snug might be the place for you to get a coffee in Bansko. I love their interior; it feels very cozy! Decent options for coffee, tea and hot chocolates. There are not that many options for food, but if you’re searching for scones this is the place to be. It’s possible to sit outside when it’s sunny as well; lovely with the sun right on your face.
Please keep in mind that it’s a rather quiet coffee place and they don’t want to have people sitting here with their laptops, so for digital nomads, groups and people with young (loud) kids this might not be your place.
Why I love this place: it’s a great place to combine a walk on the ski road with a coffee or hot chocolate afterwards. Plus: the place has a very cozy interior.
Address: Pirin Street 127 (Gondola area)

9. FiveM
If you’re looking for a more fancy place to eat in Bansko, FiveM is a great option. They have a bit of everything, so also for vegetarians and vegans there are some options. It’s one of the only places where they are not annoyed when you open your laptop to finish some work. The tables in the front also have some outlets nearby, in case you need to recharge your laptop or phone. A lovely place to have a coffee in Bansko and get some work done!
Why I love this place: it’s a great place if you want to combine a coffee or lunch with meeting people and/or some remote work on your computer
Address: Pirin Street 49 (central area of Bansko)

10. Cafe Eliz
To be fair: most places for nice coffee in Bansko are in the central and upper part of town. In the Old Town I usually end up at Cafe Eliz. Good prices for decent coffee and you can sit either inside or outside; there are lots of tables, so even when it’s busy there will be space. And although it can be busy, I never had to wait long for my order, which is not always the case in some other places in town. A good spot for coffee if you’re in the lower part of town!
Why I love this place: there are not a lot of places in the Old Town area where you can have a nice coffee in the sun, so this is my go-to place for that! Another plus: probably one of the cheapest places for coffee in Bansko. Where most places in town charge 5 leva (€2,5) for an americano, I pay 2,20 leva (€1,10) in Cafe Eliz.
Address: Nikola Vaptsarov Square (Old Town of Bansko)

11. D’Elliecious Cake Shop
Another nice place in the old town is D’Ellicious, a cute cake shop. The perfect place for anyone with a sweeth tooth! Not only are the creations very tasty, they are also presented in a beautiful and colorful way. A great place to combine some cake with a coffee. For now, they are open most of the year.
Why I love this place: from time to time I love a good cake, and there are not many places in Bansko that make such delicious ones as this place. The inside area is very small, but that makes it easier to actually have a nice chat with someone while sitting here as well.
Address: Nicola Y. Yaptsarov 7 (Old Town of Bansko)

12. Lembas Bakery
A nice place that opened in the summer of 2025 is Lembas Bakery. It’s another on your favourite street for coffee in Bansko: Pirin Street. They have a few tables to sit inside and outside, and it’s one of the few places in town where they don’t mind if people are working on their laptops. There are also multiple places with outlets to charge your phone or laptop, so that’s a plus for digital nomads.
The menu is not super extensive, but I enjoy their sourdough bread (as a vegetarian I enjoy the cheese sandwich) and in the summer months it’s nice to have a cold brew rather than having a hot coffee.

13. Vintage Coffee Bar & Shop
Let’s finish with the last place for coffee in Bansko: Vintage Coffee. They of course serve nice coffee, but another thing that I really like about this place is the interior and their shop items. You can sit both inside and outside and the place is open most of the year.
Why I love this place: it has a convenient, central location to meet up with people, they have great coffee in big mugs (always a big fan of that!) for decent prices and the staff is always friendly.
Address: Pirin Street 70 (Central area of Bansko)
